One of the most common characteristics revealed and demonstrated in the next generation is a yearning for justice in issues of equity. Our forum on January 18 seeks to address and respond to this deep interest in, “Learning Justice from Frederick Douglass.”
Frederick Douglass (1817 – 1895) escaped from slavery in Maryland, and became a national leader of the abolitionist movement in Massachusetts and New York, during which he gained fame for his oratory and incisive antislavery writings.
Frederick Douglass is someone many are turning to learn and act with justice for the contemporary issues we face today.
